The Model Series 2SAN pressure switches are for food, dairy, and other sanitary applications. The device features an elastomer (EPDMor PTFE) diaphragm sensing element that is manufactured in accordance 3-A Sanitary Standard No. 37-01. Since the diaphragmis mechanically connected to the switch mechanism, there is no need for fill fluid that could contaminate sanitary systems. Eliminating the fill fluid also greatly reduces the effect temperature has on setpoints. The 2SAN employs Solon's unique, rugged, and sensitive switching mechanism. Unlike most "inline" pressure switch designs, the Solon mechanism is frictionless and amplifies the movement of the sensing element. This results in improved life, repeatability, and lower deadbands. The 2SAN mechanismcan be supplied with one S.P.D.T. electric switch or two Other fitting sizes and/or ranges (including vacuum) may be available upon request. The 2" Triclamp style connection allows the device to be installed into many existing Clean-in-Place systems. S.P.D.T. electric switches that are independently adjustable.
