Safe Operation of a Boiler using Solon Manufacturing's
Differential Pressure Switches.

Differential Pressure Switches are commonly used to monitor flow of a process liquid as shown in this drawing. A pressure difference across the pump or orifice plate is directly related to flow. Maintaining flow is critical to the safe operation of the boiler. A loss of cooling water could lead to boiler damage.

In this example the static pressure is quite high relative to the differential pressure; therefore a standard differential pressure switch is not suitable for this application.

Solon Manufacturing's Model 7PS with a DSS option (differential with 316L Stainless Steel) has a maximum static pressure of 1500 PSI. The 316SS and Buna-N wetted internal components are able to withstand a corrosive environment.
